The successful candidate is the type of person that can handle developing for other developers and you've been involved in open source.

In addition to expert Python skills, you also possess C and cross-platform software engineering experience.

Requirements

* Minimum 3 years' software development experience
* Strong experience programming in C at the system level
* Intermediate or advanced Python skills
* Excellent debugging skills
* Experience building and debugging software on at least 2 of Mac OS X, Windows and Linux/Unix
* Able to independently research problems and present solutions to the team
* Excellent written and spoken communications skills
* Ability to help flesh out precise requirements from customer input
* Experience (or interest) in managing and improving a complex build system

Assets

* Knowledge of Python internals
* Experience building and debugging software on AIX, HP-UX and Solaris
* Experience building desktop applications
* Comfortable with version control software, especially Perforce and Subversion
* Other dynamic languages experience (Perl, Tcl, Ruby)

Senior Project Manager

* Senior project or program manager with a minimum 5-7 years of experience managing complex Global and/or IT projects of an appropriate size
* Experience with corporate governance and global Initiatives

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on lead development of a user friendly, consumer-based desktop application
• Recommend and implement Java best practices where applicable

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of software development experience and one year of team leadership (team lead only) experience
• Experience working with a SQL compliant database systems

Software Engineer
Onsite Downtown Tacoma, WA
The successful candidate for this position will join a small team that designs, configures, and evaluates software integration technology for scientific and technical data. In support of the overall team objective, this individual will develop software programs to support the overall team objective. Individual will analyze, create, and document the specific software designs, specifications and interfaces for any and all software that this individual develops. The successful candidate must be able to work independently to complete assigned tasks and function in an applied research environment.

Required Skills:
• 4-10 plus years of software design and programming experience
• Must be proficient in Java; must have Java comprise the majority of recent experience
• Strong working and practical experience of Unix (Linux, Mac OSX) and current network and system technology standards.
• Experience with object-oriented design, development, and programming
• Knowledge of net-centric solutions, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and distributed enterprise applications
• Knowledge of enterprise service bus technologies
