Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Technical Specialist to create their web based asset management products for SaaS and enterprise customers across North America. These products are used by organizations such as municipalities and utilities with significant physical infrastructure assets.
Your duties will include:
* Contributing to building pre-configured solutions on the IBM/Maximo industry leading SOA based EAM* platform (part of IBM’s Tivoli suite)
* Integration and version control
* Upgrade scripts and performing system upgrades
* Support and test
* Various other duties as required
Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience with EAM, ERP or similar systems
* Understanding of version control practices
* Upgrade scripting
* Network and computer support capability
* Good knowledge of SQL
* Diploma or degree in computer science or equivalent
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* IBM/Maximo experience
* Windows network experience
* Java, web server, web services and related skills
* Experience installing and configuring Linux, Websphere, databases (Oracle, DB2) and VMware.
*EAM: Enterprise Asset Management
